Ludhiana liquor shop cashier robbed of ₹23 lakh by bikers. 3

In Ludhiana, outside the office of a liquor businessman located near Lodhi Club Road, three masked motorcycle-riding robbers carried out a deadly attack on a cashier and looted about 23 lakh rupees. The entire incident was captured on the CCTV cameras installed there. Liquor businessman Shubhcharan Singh stated that this incident took place on Friday night at around 10 PM.

He said that the cashier, who is also in charge of the entire group, was returning to the office after collecting the cash. Suddenly, three robbers, who appeared to be intoxicated, attacked him. The cashier has sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at DMC Hospital.

The cashier kept trying to save himself.

In the CCTV footage that has emerged, it can be clearly seen how the incident was carried out. When the cashier collected cash from all the shops and reached the office, three young men arrived there on a motorcycle. The accused surrounded the victim from all sides and, without any fear, attacked him repeatedly with sharp weapons (mostly). The cashier kept trying to save himself, but the robbers brutally beat him, took the bag full of money, and fled the scene.

Police Action and Investigation

As soon as the incident was reported, the police administration sprang into action. The police of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Police Station (Thana Dugri) have registered an FIR in this case. The police are trying to identify the robbers based on CCTV footage. Although the robbers tried to cover their faces, the police claim that some clues have been found, which will lead to the arrest of the accused soon.

Heavy Anger Among Traders

After this incident, fear and heavy resentment towards the administration are being observed among Ludhiana’s traders. Shubhcharn Singh, appealing to the Punjab government for security, said that liquor traders contribute significantly to the government’s treasury, and in such a case, ensuring the safety of them and their employees is the government’s responsibility.
