Ludhiana: Son-in-Law Shoots Mother-in-Law Dead, CCTV Captures Brutal Attack

Ludhiana: A youth shot dead his mother-in-law, Poonam Pandey in GTB Nagar, Mundian, Ludhiana. At the time of the incident, the woman was at home with her married daughter, Sakshi. The accused fired at both of them, narrowly escaped, but Poonam was seriously injured.

The entire incident of the murder has been captured in the CCTV footage

The CCTV footage shows the accused wearing a black hoodie entering the house, exiting, loading a pistol and firing twice. Neighbours are also seen in the video and immediately leave after seeing the shooting.

Daughter accuses husband of murder

While giving a statement to the police late in the evening, Sakshi said that her husband Vikram committed the crime. She said that she and her husband were having a fight. Sakshi demanded immediate police action.

A neighbour rushed the injured woman to the hospital.

Neighbour Harvinder said that on hearing the gunshot, he immediately took Poonam to the civil hospital, but the doctors declared her dead.

Police investigation and arrest attempts

The police of Jamalpur police station reached the spot and collected information from the family and the surrounding residents. Station House Officer Balwinder Kaur said that the youth seen in the video is known to the family. Efforts are on to arrest the accused and a thorough investigation is being conducted.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing

The police are now trying to find out the real reason for the fight and what motivated the son-in-law to commit such a violent act.
