Khanna police in Ludhiana district have solved the murder case of 81-year-old NRI woman Jagpal Kaur, which occurred on February 1st. The woman was murdered by her tenant, Rahul. Police suspected the tenant from the beginning. Police have arrested Rahul, the deceased woman’s tenant, in connection with the case. Rahul is originally from Uttar Pradesh.

The police are soon going to hold a press conference regarding the case. According to the police, Jagpal Kaur’s body was recovered from the bathroom of her house on February 1st. Her hands were tied, and preliminary investigations suggested that she had been murdered by strangulation and suffocation. Considering the seriousness of the crime, the police called in a forensic team to the scene to collect evidence.

The accused confessed to the crime.

Footage from nearby CCTV cameras was examined, and the deceased woman’s contacts and tenants were questioned extensively. Based on continuous investigation, technical evidence, and questioning, the police took the accused, Rahul, into custody. During rigorous interrogation, he confessed to the crime. However, the police have not yet officially disclosed the real motive behind the murder.

The police say that intensive questioning of the accused is ongoing, and the entire case will be revealed soon. The people of the area have breathed a sigh of relief after the mystery of this blind murder was solved. Khanna’s SSP, Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia, will share detailed information about all the facts related to the incident and the police action through a press conference today.

The police have claimed to have gathered solid evidence to ensure transparency in the investigation and to secure a strict punishment for the accused.
