Ludhiana: The Ludhiana Police Commissionerate, in its crackdown on organized crime, has busted an arms supply and extortion module linked to notorious gangster Goldy Brar. In a three-week operation, police arrested 10 shooters and suppliers and recovered 12 sophisticated weapons.

A cache of foreign weapons recovered
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav shared this information on his social media account. Police seized two Austrian Glock pistols and 10 other sophisticated weapons from the accused. The gang was active in illegal arms smuggling, extortion, and contract killings in Punjab. The gang was plotting to create an atmosphere of terror in the state.
Case registered under BNS and Arms Act
Police have registered an FIR against all the accused under relevant sections of the BNS and Arms Act. Raids are underway to arrest the remaining gang members. Punjab Police reiterated its commitment to completely dismantle the gangster network in the state and will continue such actions. Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma will hold a press conference on the matter at 1 pm.
