Ludhiana: School Principal brutally murdered, probe on

A school principal was murdered in Ludhiana after his throat was slit. The deceased’s son stated that two individuals entered their home and held both him and his father hostage. The assailants stripped them partially and assaulted them before attacking his father with a sharp-edged weapon.

Police discovered a cut mark on the deceased’s neck. The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Iqbal Singh, who ran a school from his own residence. The incident occurred late at night. Upon receiving the information, teams from the Jamalpur police station and the CIA staff arrived at the scene.

Two men entered the house at night and held them hostage. The incident took place in Jandiali village. In his statement to the police, the deceased’s son, Yuvi, recounted that two individuals entered their home late at night. The accused held both him and his father hostage and assaulted them. Yuvi alleged that the attackers struck his father with a sharp-edged weapon, resulting in his death.

Neighbors arrived after the son raised an alarm

Yuvi stated that his father, Iqbal Singh, was a lawyer by profession and ran an educational institution named “Dhaliwal School” from their house, offering classes up to the 8th grade. Following the incident, Yuvi raised an alarm; neighbors rushed to the scene, and the police were informed. The police inspected the crime scene, and a preliminary investigation revealed a cut mark on the victim’s neck.

Deceased’s wife had gone to Bhopal for an exam

Police sources indicate that the case is not yet fully clear, and investigations are proceeding from multiple angles. The deceased’s wife has gone to Bhopal to take a law examination. A post-mortem examination of the body will be conducted after her return.

The Jamalpur police stated that a thorough investigation is underway. Evidence is being collected from the scene, and footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being scrutinized to determine the motive behind the incident and to identify the perpetrators.
