Ludhiana: Six-month-old baby dies in hospital; Family alleges negligence

A 6-month-old infant, Naira, died under suspicious circumstances at Satyam Hospital, located near Shingar Cinema in Ludhiana. The family has accused the hospital of gross negligence and the staff of administering the wrong medication. Based on the family’s complaint, the police have launched an investigation.

The deceased child’s mother, Sonia, stated that her daughter had been admitted to Satyam Hospital three days ago due to chest congestion. After admission, the child’s condition was improving. However, according to the family, a staff member entered the room the previous day and began administering medication to the child without informing them.

When Sonia inquired about the medication, the staff member said it was a sleeping pill. The family claims that after receiving the medication, the child fell into a deep sleep and did not wake up the next morning.
The family alleges that the hospital management is neither identifying the staff member nor conducting a proper investigation into the matter. Following the incident, the family informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and began investigating the entire case. The police are questioning the hospital management to determine which medication caused the child’s death and who administered it.
