Ludhiana Wedding Firing Case: Police still empty-handed after 6 days, main accused Shubham remains at large

Six days ago, a shootout between two gangs occurred at a wedding ceremony at Bath Castle on Pakhowal Road in Ludhiana, Punjab. One man and one woman were killed in the firing. Several VIP leaders and police officers were also present at the wedding. More than 30 shots were fired during the ceremony. Two people, identified as Vasu and Neeru, died from gunshot wounds.

People, including children, hid under tables to save their lives. The marriage palace remained littered with belongings until the next morning. The main accused in this case, Shubham Mota, is still absconding. For six days, the police have been conducting raids in different places, but Shubham remains at large. The police have yet to make any arrests in this case.

Officials remain silent

There was also speculation in the city that Shubham might surrender to the police, but that has not happened yet. Senior police officials have also remained silent on the matter. Shubham has good connections with several political leaders. According to sources, police teams are searching for Shubham in different states.

The Punjab Police have also alerted authorities at the Nepal border regarding Shubham. Meanwhile, the police have apprehended Ankur and some of his associates from the other gang, but no official has yet confirmed this. The police have also registered a case against Shubham’s parents for harboring him.

Police teams scouring social media

Currently, the police are compiling a list of Shubham’s close associates. They are also scrutinizing his social media accounts. Those with whom Shubham has pictures and close connections are also under police surveillance. According to sources, two youths were also rounded up for questioning from the vegetable market yesterday. ​​It should be noted that Shubham Arora now has 16 cases registered against him after this incident.

Police recover the weapon used in the shooting

The police have also recovered the weapon from the house of accused J.K. Dawar, which Ankur allegedly used to fire the shots. In fact, the police investigation revealed that after the shooting incident, J.K.’s pistol was cleaned by his two friends and placed back in his house.
