Ludhiana: Woman killed by husband, in-laws; body dumped on road in sack

A case of dumping the body of a woman in a sack on the divider on Ferozepur Road by two bike-borne youths near Aarti Chowk in Ludhiana was reported yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Reshma, a resident of Circuit House Lane No. 2 near Maharaj Nagar, who lived in a rented house with her mother-in-law and father-in-law.

In fact, Reshma often used to have arguments with her mother-in-law and father-in-law over petty issues. According to the information, the mother-in-law and Reshma’s husband have murdered her.

Mother-in-law and husband arrested 

To dispose of the body, two youths on a motorcycle were going to throw the body into the canal by locking it in a sack. When the people present there became suspicious, they opened the sack and saw that the girl’s body was in it. The police have arrested the mother-in-law and the husband of the deceased.

Yesterday, her landlord Manoj told the police that Reshma’s father-in-law Kishan and mother-in-law Dulari are staying in his rented house. The three of them had a fight on July 8. On the morning of July 9, he saw something tied in a sheet and kept near the gate. He thought that Kishan’s family might not be vacating the room today. That’s why he was taking out the stuff, but as soon as I saw the video of the body found in the sack on the internet, I came to know that Kishan and his wife Dulari had together murdered their daughter-in-law and had asked two youths to dispose of the body.

The body was locked in the sack and thrown away

Ajay Kumar and another person are among those who disposed of the body. Both the accused threw the sack near Aarti Chowk to dispose of Reshma’s body. They were stopped by passers-by, but both the youths left the motorcycle and fled from the spot.

The police have arrested three people in this case. The accused have been identified as father-in-law Kishan, mother-in-law Dulari and Ajay. The police have arrested them. Today, the police will also hold a press conference in this case.
