Maharally : Rahul Gandhi accuses BJP for match fixing tactics ahead general elections

New Delhi : Addressing the mega rally at Ramlila Maidan, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said the BJP is doing match-fixing by ‘choosing umpires’ ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.

He said arresting ex-Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is part of BJP’s match-fixing. Congress scion was referring to the resignation of the election commissioner and the appointment of the new poll commissioner ahead of the polls. He said our constitution is under threat as they are doing everything for their own profits, he said BJP don’t want opposition to contest elections as they want dictatorship in our country.

“Without EVMs, match-fixing, social media, and pressurising the press, they cannot win more than 180 seats,” said Rahul Gandhi.

“Congress is the biggest opposition party and all our bank accounts have been closed in the middle of elections. We have to run a campaign, send workers to states, put up posters but all our bank accounts have been closed. What kind of election is this,” Rahul said.
