Maharashtra Milk Prices to Rise by Rs 2 Per Litre From August 11

Mumbai: Milk will become more expensive in Maharashtra from August 11th, with prices increasing by ₹2 per liter. Cow and buffalo milk prices will increase.

Cow and buffalo milk will become more expensive in Maharashtra by ₹2 per liter from August 11th. The decision to increase milk prices was taken at a meeting of representatives of major cooperative and private dairies.

Rising costs were the reason

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Milk Producers and Processors Welfare Association, chaired by Gopalrao Mhaske, president of the association.

According to the association, the price of diesel has increased by approximately ₹10 per liter, while packaging costs have risen by approximately 30 percent. Furthermore, the cost of milk procurement has also increased, and further increases are expected in the future.

Dairy products will also become more expensive

In light of rising costs, the association has decided to increase the prices of milk as well as other dairy products. Prices of dairy products may increase by up to 10 percent. The new prices will be effective from August 11th.
