Major accident in Amritsar: Private bus full of passengers collides with tipper, 2 including child die

A bus collided with a tipper truck loaded with gravel near Kathunangal on the Amritsar-Pathankot road, due to which 35 to 40 people were seriously injured. The police have not yet clearly stated the number of people killed in the accident. According to initial information, two people, including a child, have died tragically in the horrific accident.

It is being said that 35 to 40 people have been injured in this accident, and the condition of many of them is critical. Due to this, there is a fear of an increase in the death toll.

The truck took sudden U-turn

Regarding the matter, a police officer stated that the bus was traveling from Batala to Amritsar when a tipper truck ahead of it took a sudden U-turn near Gopalpura village. As a result, the speeding bus collided with the tipper truck, and the driver fled the scene. A police officer is investigating, and a police case is being registered.

A Road Safety Force official stated that upon arrival, they found approximately 35 passengers injured, and all were taken to the hospital for treatment. Eyewitnesses said that the accident was so serious that a large number of people were injured, and more than two appeared to have died.
