Major accident in Haryana: Roadways bus crushes 6 girl students, 3 critical

A major accident took place in Pratapnagar in the Yamunanagar district of Haryana on Thursday morning. Many students fell down in a hurry to board the bus. During this, 6 girl students fell under the wheels of the bus. The condition of three girl students is said to be serious in the accident. According to people, the students started boarding the bus even before the bus stopped, due to which this accident occurred.

This accident happened at the bus stand at 8 am

This incident took place at the Pratap Nagar bus stand around 8 am. A large number of students were waiting for the bus to their schools and colleges. As soon as the Haryana Roadways bus arrived, the students started boarding the bus. As soon as the bus took a turn, there was a sudden jolt and the girls fell down.

6 students were hit by the bus

In this accident, 6 girl students were injured due to the rear tires of the bus coming under. They included Aarti (Kutipur), Archita (Pratapnagar), Muskan (Tibbi), Sanjana (Bahadarpur), Anjali (Pratapnagar) and Amandeep. All were first taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Pratapnagar, from where they were referred to Yamunanagar Civil Hospital.

Due to the lack of X-ray facilities at the Pratapnagar CHC, all the students were referred to Yamunanagar. Aarti was run over by the wheel of the bus on her stomach, while Archita and Anjali suffered serious injuries. Some parents have also taken their children to private hospitals.

Students create ruckus at the bus stand

As soon as the news of the accident spread, college students created ruckus at the bus stand. The angry students stopped other buses going to Yamunanagar. SHO Nar Singh of Pratap Nagar Police Station and the Dial-112 team reached the spot and tried to calm the students.

The driver said, “The students were in a hurry”

Bus driver Anil said that as soon as the bus reached the bus stop, the students started boarding the bus without waiting. During the jostling, several students fell from the bus and got crushed by the bus. The police have taken the driver Anil and the conductor Kamal into custody and are currently kept in the police station. A medical test of both will be conducted
