Major accident in Jhajjar, 5 laborers die after truck overturns on car

Five people were killed in a horrific road accident in Jhajjar district late Tuesday evening. A speeding truck loaded with straw lost control near Silani village and overturned on top of a car in front. The accident took place around 8 pm. The car was completely crushed under the truck, and all five occupants died on the spot. Police and emergency teams reached the spot.

A JCB machine first attached the car and pulled it out from under the straw. Then the JCB was used to cut off the upper part of the car to extract the bodies. After a rescue operation that lasted for about an hour, the bodies were finally pulled out, but by then, all the victims had died. The police sent the bodies to Jhajjar General Hospital for postmortem.

In this accident, car-borne businessman Ghanshyam Kishore (55), son of Ram Avtar, resident of Surha village, and Janardan Verma (45), son of Teju, resident of Tawarpur village in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh, brothers Akhilesh (30) and Jaiveer (22) son of Rajendra, resident of Bijeta Kazi village in Sambhal district, and Pinku, who is currently a resident of Delhi Gate, died on the spot.

It is being told that the deceased Ghanshyam worked as a shuttering engineer and used to take work contracts at the house of Preet Sharma, resident of Utlodha village. On Tuesday evening, after finishing his work in Utlodha village, he was taking the four workers towards Delhi Gate in his car. The four workers lived in Silani Gate area near Dabra Mandir in Jhajjar city.
