A speeding car collided with a state-run bus near Pakasma turn on the Sonipat road. A financier from Jind died in the accident, and two passengers were also injured. The IMT police station is investigating the incident. Sonipat depot conductor Nidan Deshwal said that the bus was going to Hisar via Rohtak at around 10:45 AM. Passengers signaled for the bus to stop at the Pakasma turn to board for Rohtak.
The driver stopped the bus to pick up the passengers. Suddenly, a car coming from the Rohtak side at high speed collided with the bus. The car caught fire after the collision. With the help of the passengers, the fire was extinguished, and the driver was somehow pulled out of the car and taken to the PGI Trauma Center.
Doctors declared the 23-year-old car driver dead. Upon receiving the information, the driver’s acquaintances reached the spot. The deceased was identified as Himanshu, a resident of Lizwana Kalan in Jind.
Acquaintances who reached PGI said that Himanshu worked as a financier. His father, Jaybir, works as a truck driver and was in Mumbai for work. He has been informed about the accident and will be flying back to Rohtak.
Himanshu was his father’s only son.
Unmarried Himanshu was his father’s only son. He has one older sister. He had started working in finance to help his father support the family. On Saturday, he was going from Rohtak towards Kharkhoda when the accident suddenly occurred.
