Major administrative reshuffle in Haryana, 17 IAS and 7 HCS officers transferred

Chandigarh: The Haryana government carried out a major administrative reshuffle on Friday, issuing orders for the transfer and new appointments of 17 IAS and 7 HCS officers. The most notable change was that of IAS officer Pradeep Dahiya, who was transferred for the second time within 24 hours. On Thursday, he was appointed the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Rohtak, while on Friday, a revised order was issued, reappointing him as the Commissioner of the Gurugram Municipal Corporation.

New responsibilities for several senior officers

The government has appointed IAS Pankaj as Secretary of the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) and Managing Director (MD) of Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL). IAS Prabhjot Singh has been appointed Secretary of the Transport Department and Transport Commissioner.

In addition, IAS Hema Sharma has been appointed Commissioner of the Karnal Division, IAS Yashendra Singh as Commissioner of the Faridabad Municipal Corporation and CEO of Faridabad Smart City Limited, while IAS Vivek Arya has been assigned additional responsibilities, including Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Panchkula.

Officers transferred in several departments

The government has also made major changes in various departments. IAS C.G. Rajni Kanthan has been given the charge of the Finance and Medical Education Departments, IAS Khetmalis Makarand Pandurang has been given the charge of the Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture, and Mines and Geology Departments, while IAS D.K. Behera has been given the charge of the Human Resources and General Administration Departments.

IAS Pratima Chaudhary, Dr. Aditya Dahiya, Renu Sogan, Samvartak Singh Khangwal, and other officials have also been given new responsibilities.

7 HCS Officers Also Transferred

The state government has also transferred 7 HCS officers. Among them, Virendra Hooda has been appointed CEO of the Charkhi Dadri District Council, while Virendra Chaudhary and Pankaj Kumar have been given new responsibilities in Kurukshetra. Suresh Kumar, Monica, Manjeet Kumar, and Yogesh Kumar Mehta have also been given new appointments in various departments and districts.

The government says that this administrative reshuffle has been done with the aim of making the governance system more effective and smooth.
