Jalandhar Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur has issued a sweeping administrative reshuffle, transferring eight officers, including five sub-inspectors. Several SHOs at crucial police stations have been replaced, and some officers have been assigned new roles.

The directive instructs all officers to formally take charge without delay.

As per the transfer list, Sahil Chaudhary, previously serving as SHO of Division No. 5, has been moved to Division No. 8. Meanwhile, Yadvinder Singh has been shifted from Division No. 8 to take over as SHO of Division No. 5.

Changes in Division No. 6 and Other Key Postings

Ajaib Singh, who was SHO of Dhana Division No. 6, has been relieved and posted to the police lines. Balwinder Kumar, who had been working in Division No. 6 earlier, has now been officially appointed the new SHO of the division.

The transfer list also names Inspector Jaspal Singh, though his new assignment has not been mentioned in the order.

Officers Relieved, New Duties Assigned

Manjinder Singh, formerly SHO of Rama Mandi, has been removed from his position and designated as in-charge of the Staff Special Cell. SHO Cantt, Ravinder Kumar, has been relieved of his duties, with his new posting yet to be announced. Harbhajan Lal, previously stationed at the police lines, has now been appointed as the new SHO of Cantt.

The Police Commissioner’s order emphasizes that all transferred officers must promptly hand over their existing responsibilities and take charge at their newly assigned postings. The reshuffle brings notable changes to the city’s policing structure and is expected to influence Jalandhar’s security operations in the coming days.
