Mohali: In a major crackdown against a cross-border terrorist network, the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC), SAS Nagar, has arrested two associates of a foreign terrorist operative in Mohali. Police also recovered an improvised explosive device (IED) from their possession.

According to the Punjab Police, the information provided by the arrested accused uncovered a terrorist plot aimed at targeting vital public infrastructure in SAS Nagar. This timely action averted a major potential threat.
Police stated that the two accused were in contact with and acting on the instructions of a foreign terrorist operative. The recovered IED has been seized and sent for testing.
Further investigation is underway in the case. Police are working to identify the entire terrorist network, its handlers, associates, and other links related to the conspiracy.
Punjab Police said the operation against terrorist networks and organised crime will continue unabated to maintain peace and public safety in the state.
