Malayalam Actress Rini Ann George Accuses Young Politician of Misconduct

Kerala: Malayalam actress Rini Ann George has accused a young politician of behaving inappropriately with her. Rini spoke to the press in Kochi on August 20 and alleged that a prominent young leader of a well-known political party in Kerala has been behaving inappropriately with her for the past three years. She claims that she complained to senior party leaders, but her complaint was ignored.

Speaking to the media in Kochi on Wednesday, Rini said she came in contact with the politician through social media, reports Hindustan Times. The politician’s inappropriate behaviour began three years ago when she first received objectionable messages. “When I threatened to expose him, he said, ‘You can go and tell anyone. Who cares?'” she says.

The actress also alleged that the politician has harassed many other women as well. But while talking to the media, she clarified that she has not faced any assault but only objectionable messages have been sent to her. Rini says that he once said that let’s book a room in a five star hotel, you should come. But later he started messaging me again.

Rini also claims that she had complained against that leader to senior members of the party, but instead of taking action, he was given a prominent position. However, the actress has not yet lodged a police complaint against him.

Explaining the reason behind this, she says – ‘If I file a complaint, I will put myself in danger. This will be the result.’ She said, I urge the women of the country to choose public representatives wisely. She also said that she did not want to embarrass the concerned political party.

The actress also said that she is speaking now only because she has come to know from her friends that many other women have also faced harassment. She is raising her voice for those women.
