Associate of UK-based gangster arrested by Amritsar Rural Police; arms, ammunition recovered

Amritsar rural police have arrested an aide of UK-based gangster. In an intelligence-led operation with central agencies, Amritsar Rural Police apprehended Malkeet Singh. The accused Malkeet is a resident of Pandori, Amritsar. Police also recovered One Hand Grenade, One .30 Bore Pistol (Px5), and 10 Live Rounds (.30 bore).

The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.

Preliminary investigation of the police revealed that Malkeet had direct links with UK-based Gangster Dharma Sandhu. Sandhu is a close associate of Harwinder Rinda, a Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) operative based in Pakistan. BKI’s Rinda is also backed by Pakistan’s ISI.

Police said that Further investigation is underway to unearth the entire network.

DGP Yadav assured that Punjab Police is committed to dismantle terror-gangster nexuses and safeguarding peace in Punjab.
