‘I Will Stay Alive Till I See Your End’: Mamata Banerjee Launches Fiery Attack on BJP Amid TMC Rebellion

Kolkata: Amid the ongoing rebellion within the Trinamool Congress (TMC), party chief and former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), declaring that she would “stay alive till I see your end” while accusing her political opponents of attempting to destabilise her party.

Addressing party workers during a Facebook Live interaction, Banerjee alleged that her opponents wanted her to suffer a heart attack but insisted she would continue fighting politically.

“You want me to have a heart attack. I will stay alive till I see your end,” she said while addressing criticism and the growing dissent within the TMC.

Defends Abhishek Banerjee, Slams Party Rebels

Mamata Banerjee strongly defended TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, rejecting allegations that he was responsible for the party’s recent setbacks.

She questioned why Abhishek was being targeted simply because he is her nephew and asserted that he had done nothing wrong. Banerjee also accused rebel leaders of attempting to divide the party for personal ambitions and urged dissatisfied members to leave instead of creating confusion within the organisation.

Apologises to Public Over Defections

During her address, Banerjee apologised to the people of West Bengal for the recent defections from the TMC, describing those who switched sides as “traitors.”

She claimed that several leaders had abandoned the party after winning elections on the TMC symbol and alleged that pressure from central agencies was being used to engineer defections. Despite the setbacks, she maintained that the party would overcome the crisis and rebuild itself.

Political Crisis Deepens Within TMC

Banerjee’s remarks come at a time when the Trinamool Congress is witnessing one of its biggest internal crises, with several senior leaders joining a rival faction led by Ritabrata Banerjee. The latest political developments have intensified the battle for control over the party following the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.

Despite the growing rebellion, Mamata Banerjee asserted that neither internal dissent nor political pressure from the BJP would weaken her resolve, reiterating that she would continue fighting to protect the party and its ideology.
