Man run over by Bus on Fazilka-Ferozepur Highway, dies on spot

A 32-year-old youth died in a tragic road accident near village Jhugge Gulab Singh on the Fazilka-Ferozepur highway. The deceased has been identified as Mukhtiar Singh, who was a father of three and used to support his family through hard work.

Family member Shringara Singh said that Mukhtiar Singh was returning home from work and was hit by a Punjab Roadways bus while crossing the road. The accident was so horrific that he died on the spot.

The deceased has three minor children. After the incident, the body has been kept in the mortuary of the government hospital in Fazilka for postmortem. The family is demanding justice from the police.

Police officer Balkar Singh, who reached the spot, said that the bus was going from Fazilka to Ferozepur when the accident took place. The police are recording the statements of the family members and appropriate legal action will be taken.
