Manisha Death Case: CBI reaches Delhi to seek opinion on third post-mortem report

The CBI team, which has been investigating Manisha’s death case for 24 days, arrived at Delhi AIIMS on Thursday evening. The team’s objective is to obtain an opinion on the third post-mortem report. The third post-mortem was conducted at the request of Manisha’s family. This step was taken due to contradictions found between the first and second post-mortem reports.

Both Manisha’s body and the viscera report were studied. CBI officials say that the third post-mortem report and related documents will help clarify the circumstances of Manisha’s death. So far, the CBI has interviewed Manisha’s family members, witnesses, and inspected the crime scene.

The CBI also called a forensic expert team from Delhi, who recreated and marked the scene where the body was found. During this time, the farm owner, the farm partner, and the goat herder who first saw Manisha’s body were also present. Additionally, CBI officials need to obtain some FSL reports from Delhi.

Manisha’s body was recovered on August 13th.

The body of 19-year-old Manisha, who had been missing from her home since August 11th, was found near the Singhani Canal on August 13th. Initially, the local police investigated, but as the case escalated, the investigation was handed over to the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

Contradictions between the first and second post-mortem reports fueled anger among family members and the public. Subsequently, the case was handed over to the CBI. The CBI has so far questioned Manisha’s family, the fertilizer and seed seller, the play school and nursing college management, the farm owner, and an eyewitness goat herder.

After reviewing the facts, officials are now working to piece together the details of the death based on the third post-mortem report and the FSL report.

Justice for Daughter: Sanjay

Manisha’s father, Sanjay, stated that his only demand is justice for his daughter’s death. The CBI has interviewed the family several times, but nothing new has emerged. CBI officials have gone to Delhi AIIMS to obtain the opinion and related documents on the third post-mortem report. The FSL report will also be obtained by the CBI from Delhi. The team is still investigating the daughter’s death case and the family is completely satisfied with the CBI action.
