Mansa Health Worker Dies by Suicide After Naming MLA in Note; Traders Demand Arrest

In the Boha town of Mansa district, health department supervisor Bhupinder Kumar committed suicide by jumping into a canal. In response to this, the town of Boha is shut down and protests are taking place. The family has accused the Budhlada MLA and some health department employees of forcing Bhupinder to take his own life.

The deceased’s family claims that the MLA had threatened Bhupinder over the phone. They say that some people deliberately complained to the MLA, which led Bhupinder to face mental pressure, and as a result, he took this step. Since the supervisor’s body was found, the town of Boha has remained closed. Protesters are demanding immediate action and the arrest of the MLA and the concerned health department officials.

Allegations of humiliation and mental harassment in the suicide note

The police also found an alleged suicide note of Bhupinder Kumar. In it, he accused some health department employees of complaining to the MLA and threatening him over the phone. In the suicide note, Bhupinder cited the continuous humiliation and mental harassment as the reason for his suicide.

MLA denies the allegations

In this context, a statement has also emerged from Budhlada MLA Principal Budhram. He acknowledged that some health department officials had come to him with complaints. He said that he talked to Bhupinder about it. The MLA stated that Bhupinder was a good friend of his and that he had resolved the matter. He denied threatening anyone.
