    Mansa School Bus Collides With PRTC Bus, 10-15 Injured; Driver Suffers Fractures In Both Legs

    Mansa: A school bus carrying children collided with a Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation (PRTC) bus on the National Highway in Mansa on Monday morning, leaving around 10 to 15 people injured.

    The accident took place at around 7:30 am. One girl reportedly sustained serious injuries and remains in critical condition, while the school bus driver suffered fractures in both legs.

    All the injured have been admitted to a government hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. The Bareta police have reached the spot and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

    The school bus is reportedly associated with Holy Heart Public School, Kishangarh.

    PRTC Bus Driver’s Account

    According to the PRTC bus driver, he was travelling from Mansa towards Jakhal when a motorcyclist suddenly appeared in front of the bus.

    The driver said the motorcyclist had a mobile phone pressed against his ear. As the rider suddenly came into his path, the PRTC driver immediately applied the brakes.

    At that moment, the school bus travelling behind the PRTC bus collided with it. The impact caused several children travelling in the school bus to sustain injuries.

    The school bus driver suffered fractures in both legs in the collision.

    Girl Critically Injured, Police Probe Underway

    A young girl sustained severe injuries in the accident and her condition is reported to be critical. Other injured children were also shifted to the government hospital for treatment.

    A crowd gathered at the accident site following the collision. Police reached the spot, collected details and began examining the circumstances that led to the accident.

    The police are also looking into the positions of both buses and other circumstances surrounding the collision as part of their investigation.
