Mansa: 30-year-old Amrit dies of drug overdose

In a tragic incident, a 30-year-old Amrit Pal Singh Gaggi died of a drug overdose in the village of Nangal Kalan in Mansa district.

Family accuses neighbour

In this regard, the family and the panchayat have alleged that the neighbour, Moongi Singh, is selling drugs. They said that he was warned many times before not to sell drugs in future. The family also alleged that the crime was reported to the police, but no action was taken by the Punjab Police.

The brother of the deceased youth, Sewak Singh, said that his brother, Amrit Pal Singh Gaggi, who was married and has a daughter, had been doing drugs for some time. He said that a complaint about the peddler was lodged with the police but no action was taken. They have demanded immediate action against the drug smuggler from the police in this matter.

The village sarpanch also raised questions

The village panchayat sarpanch, Resham Singh Jinda said that for a long time in the village Nangal Kalan, Moongi Singh and his family have been selling drugs, regarding which the police have been informed many times.

A youth has died due to drugs before

He said that earlier, a youth had died due to drugs in this house, and today again a youth has died.
