Massive fire breaks out in 4 factories in Bahadurgarh, goods worth lakhs burnt to ashes

A major accident took place in Bahadurgarh’s Modern Industrial Area on Friday when a massive fire broke out in four factories. Businesses suffered a huge financial loss as the raw materials and finished products of the factories were destroyed.

Let us tell you that these units mainly manufactured shoes, plastic granules and thermocol. The fire spread rapidly due to the large quantity of plastic, rubber and highly flammable chemicals inside the factories, which made it difficult for firefighters to control.

Industrialists also allege that despite timely information, the fire brigade reached the spot late, which further worsened the situation.

What was done in the factories?

Narendra Chikara, Senior Vice President of the Bahadurgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCCI), said that the fire started from factory number 2249 in Modern Industrial Area Part-2. It soon spread to factory numbers 2248, 2250 and another nearby factory. According to Chhikara, these units manufactured shoes, plastic granules and thermocol.

According to sources, the fire was so fierce that raw materials and finished products worth lakhs of rupees were completely burnt. The flames also caused heavy damage to the factory buildings. More than a dozen fire brigade vehicles had to be called from Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Sampla and Delhi to control the situation.

Meanwhile, workers from other nearby units also reached the spot and were seen helping in removing goods from the affected factories, so that the losses of the entrepreneurs could be reduced to some extent.
