Massive Fire Engulfs Car in Amritsar: Short Circuit Suspected; Occupants safe

Late last night, a car suddenly caught fire on the National Highway near Jandiala Guru in Amritsar. There were four occupants in the car, including a 10-year-old child. It is reported that the group had traveled from the village of Kachhe Pakke in Patti to Jandiala Guru.

An Army soldier was also present in the car; he was returning to Jammu for duty after his leave had ended. His family was driving him to Jalandhar, from where he was scheduled to continue his journey alongside another fellow soldier. At the time of the incident, they were waiting for another soldier who was arriving from Amritsar.

During this wait, the car suddenly burst into flames. In a matter of moments, the fire engulfed the entire vehicle. The incident caused panic among the people present at the scene. However, a relieving aspect of the situation was that all the occupants managed to exit the car in time, and there was no loss of life.

Fire Suspected to be Caused by a Short Circuit

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit. Meanwhile, the car’s occupants have expressed their displeasure regarding the fire brigade’s delayed arrival.

They contend that had assistance arrived on time, the vehicle might have been saved from being completely destroyed by the fire. Currently, the police and relevant authorities are actively investigating the matter.
