4 Youths Missing After Drowning in Ganga in Meerut

Meerut, April 4: A tragic incident has been reported from Meerut, where four youths drowned in the Ganges during a visit for their grandmother’s funeral. According to reports, the youths had gone to the riverbank when they accidentally slipped into deep water and were swept away by the strong current. The sudden incident created panic among family members present at the site.

Massive Search Operation Underway

Rescue teams including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and PAC personnel have been deployed for search operations. Authorities have conducted an extensive search covering nearly 1.5 kilometers of the river stretch, but the youths have not been found so far.

The victims had gathered in Meerut to attend their grandmother’s last rites, turning what was already a moment of grief into a devastating tragedy for the family.
