Milind Soman Urges Women to Lead the Way in Building a Healthier India

Mumbai: Actor and fitness icon Milind Soman recently emphasized the role of women, saying that by adopting a healthy lifestyle, women can contribute to the well-being of not only their families but also the entire society. He spoke exclusively to IANS during a Zydus Pinkathon event.

The foundation of a healthy family lies in the hands of women

Milind said that women have a significant influence on family habits and lifestyles. He said, “If women stay fit and understand a healthy lifestyle, they can also guide their families in the right direction. Healthy families form the foundation of a healthy society and ultimately, a healthy nation.”

    Break Stereotypes with Active Aging

More than 50 senior women participated in the Grandmother 10K Run held at the Vivekananda Education Society Ground in Chembur. Speaking on the occasion, Milind emphasized the importance of active living and active aging. He urged older women to stay active and challenge the stereotypes prevalent in society.

“There is a stereotype that grandmothers sit at home, rolling rotis or doing embroidery. We want to break this stereotype and show that life doesn’t slow down even after the age of 60 or 70. You can participate in events, represent the country, and stay active. This example inspires not only the elderly but also the youth,” Milind said.

    Fitness Awareness and Upcoming Projects

On the professional front, Milind recently appeared as a fitness advocate in the web series The Royals. His last acting role was in the period drama Paurashpur. However, promoting fitness and health remains an important part of his public persona.
