Minister Anil Vij action: Public Health XEN and DFO suspended over 51 trees being cut down

Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister, Anil Vij, chaired a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Sirsa today. During the meeting, a complainant raised the issue of the illegal felling of 51 trees in Kaluwana, prompting the minister to take immediate and decisive action.

Considering the seriousness of the complaint, Anil Vij directed the immediate suspension of the Executive Engineer (XEN) of the Public Health Department and the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of the Forest Department. He also issued strict orders to register a criminal case against those involved in the illegal tree felling.

The minister clearly stated in the meeting that tampering with the environment and public interest would not be tolerated. He warned the officers that no one would be spared for such negligence. This action reflects the government’s zero-tolerance policy against illegal tree felling. Other grievances were also heard during the meeting, and several cases were resolved on the spot.
