The daughters of businessman Malkeet Singh from Mukerian have come forward in the viral video of the conversation between Punjab government ministers Hardeep Singh Mundiyan-Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and the businessman. In the video, the girls appealed to Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, saying what fault they have that they are unable to attend school.

They said that the family is not sending them to school, because of which their education has suffered. The family says not to go to school. Someone might kidnap us. Both of us sisters have not been able to go to school regularly for the past year due to fear. From school, we always have to take leave.

Why is our family being harassed
The girls told CM Mann that the minister born in your village is threatening us. They alleged, why is our family being harassed, will anyone be punished for progressing? An attempt was previously made to shoot our father, and now the family is again in tension.

Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa also arrived at the trolley manufacturing factory in Hayatpur, Mukerian. Bajwa met both businessman brothers and assured them that the party is with them. Bajwa said that the situation has deteriorated so much today that ministers are asking for trolleys. I will raise this issue and demand the resignation of both MLAs and the minister.

I don’t know why ministers are jealous of our progress – hello to everyone, Sat Sri Akal ji. I am Gurnit Kaur Jailedar and I am Jasneet Kaur Jailedar. As you all must know and you must have seen the video too, that for the past one to two years we have been facing a lot of troubles. Sometimes a gangster comes, sometimes there are threats, and sometimes shots are fired. Even these days, we are facing a major problem. The main reason for this problem is Hardeep Singh Mundia, who is from our own village (Jaddi Pind Hayatpur) and is currently an MLA from Ludhiana. I don’t know what problem he has with us. Maybe he is jealous seeing our progress or he has some other issue.
Not just dad but the whole family is in depression – we want this video to somehow reach Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The girls said that Mann ji, you are the Chief Minister now, under your supervision, what is happening to us? This minister calls any DSP and has our dad tortured. Not just dad, because of him, our whole family has to suffer mental distress.

Our studies are being greatly affected – our studies are being greatly affected. Recently, there was an attempt to shoot my father; luckily, he was not hit and he survived. The village head and other people are also suppressing this truth. When we approached the police to file a complaint and wanted to register an FIR, instead of filing a report, they are pressuring us to make a ‘resignation’ (settlement). Why? Only because of Hardeep Singh Mundia. If they are living their life in their village, what problem do they have with us?
We want to go to school, but we are unable to due to our safety, we have to take leave from school. We want to go to school, but for our safety, we have to stay at home. If there is an attempt to kidnap us or something bad happens to us, the responsibility will lie with Hardeep Singh Mundia, Jorawar Singh Mundia, and those Panchayat members of our village who are torturing us and threatening us.

Does abusing a minister look good – even today we had to go to school, but because of these reasons we are at home. I want to ask whether using abusive language for a minister is appropriate? Is this the example being set for the coming generation? This is not just about us; it is about the future generation.

If something happens to anyone, the Sarpanch and the minister will be responsible – if anything happens to any member of our family, Hardip Singh Mundia and the Sarpanch will be responsible. We request all of you to forward this video to Bhagwant Mann and support us. Support our family.
