Missing woman reunited with family after 11 years, major success for Poonch police

Jammu: A woman in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, who went missing nearly 11 years ago, has finally been reunited with her family. According to police, the woman had been living in the Surankote area for most of these years.

Police success achieved through hard work
Surankote Station House Officer (SHO) Syed Abid Bukhari said that the woman was questioned about her identity, but she had limited information. Despite this, the police continued their investigation by piecing together the small clues she provided.

Through hard work and technical assistance, the police finally located her family and established contact with them. The Uttar Pradesh Police were also involved in this process, who helped contact the family.

Emotional reunion with the family
Upon receiving information about the woman, her family arrived in Surankot. After completing all legal formalities, the police handed her over to her family.

The Surankot police, especially SHO Syed Abid Bukhari, are being praised for their actions in this entire case. People have described it as an excellent example of police sensitivity, dedication, and commitment to public service.
