A large number of students were honoured for their academic and extracurricular achievements during the 41st annual prize distribution function held at Rabindranath Tagore Government Degree College in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. The event celebrated the success of students who excelled in various fields and highlighted the importance of encouraging young talent in educational institutions.

MLA announces funds for college development

On the occasion, the MLA also announced financial support for improving the college’s infrastructure. He revealed that ₹60 lakh had been approved for the construction of a new library building, which will help expand academic resources for students. In addition, ₹12 lakh was sanctioned for the development of parking facilities on the campus.

These initiatives are expected to strengthen the college’s facilities and provide students with a better learning environment.

Encouragement for cultural talent

The event also featured cultural performances by students, adding colour and enthusiasm to the programme. Appreciating the artistic talents of the performers, the MLA announced a cash reward of ₹1,000 each for four students who presented singing performances during the ceremony.
