Moga Police nabs 2 in Targeted Arms Operation; 5 pistols seized

In a major breakthrough, Moga Police acting in a targeted operation arrested two accused and recovered a cache of illegal weapons.

The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.

In a major breakthrough, @MogaPolice arrests 2 accused and recovers 5 illegal weapons with ammunition in a targeted operation, including 3 pistols (.30 bore), 1 pistol (.32 bore) and 1 pistol (Glock 9mm).

Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested accused Lakhwinder Singh is working at the behest of a Pakistan-based handler. Police, during the operation, arrested two accused and recovered 5 weapons.

The five weapons recovered include 3 pistols (.30 bore), 1 pistol (.32 bore) and 1 pistol (Glock 9mm).

An FIR under the Arms Act is registered at PS City Moga, and further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages.

DGP Yadav assured that  Punjab Police remains committed to dismantling illegal arms networks and ensuring peace and security across Punjab.
