Mohan Bhagwat supports student protests, says youth’s concerns are justified

New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed support for students protesting against alleged irregularities in the NEET exam. He said the concerns of today’s young generation, Gen Z, are genuine and should be taken seriously.

“Protests are necessary in a democracy, but they should be peaceful”

Bhagwat said that protests are a medium of communication and everyone has the right to express their views in a democracy. However, he also emphasized that protests should be conducted in a democratic and peaceful manner. “I’m not saying Gen Z shouldn’t protest, but there are established methods in a democracy,” he said.

‘Education should not be a business, it should be available to all’

The RSS chief said that education should never be made a business. He believes that quality education should be accessible to everyone. He also appealed to society to actively contribute to improving the education system.

‘Parents should first set an example themselves’

At a program on “Motherhood in the Present Times” organized by the Vishwa Mangalya Sabha, Bhagwat said that Gen Z and Gen Alpha want logical answers to every question. He said that instead of blaming children, parents should set a good example through their behavior. The need of the hour is to promote dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding in families instead of conflict.
