Mona Singh breaks silence on marriage and motherhood pressure, says, “I live life on my own terms

Mumbai: Bollywood and TV actress Mona Singh has shared her opinion on societal pressures regarding marriage and motherhood.

In an interview with IANS, she said that she has never allowed such societal pressures to dominate her life.

Mona said, “I have never succumbed to these pressures, nor have I ever succumbed to them.”

“I live life on my own terms”

The actress said that even when she wasn’t married, she was constantly asked questions like, “When are you getting married?” or “Are you looking for a boyfriend?”

She said that she always lives life on her own terms, and that’s the best way.

Mona also said that a person should be accountable only to themselves for their decisions.

A befitting reply to social pressure

Mona Singh further said that it is people’s job to speak up and raise questions, but it is not our job to be influenced by them.

She said that we live our own lives and pay our own bills, so our decisions should also be our own.

Career and Recognition

Mona Singh gained immense recognition with the 2003 TV show “Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin”.

In this show, she played the role of Jassi, a simple but intelligent girl, which became extremely popular with the audience.

She subsequently built a strong career in TV, films, and OTT platforms, appearing in Laal Singh Chaddha, Border 2, and other projects.
