Monsoon departure likely in three days; 7 districts of Punjab to experience light rain

The monsoon will completely depart from Punjab by September 20th. As it departs, it will pass through the central parts of the state, causing light to moderate rainfall in some districts today and tomorrow.

According to the Meteorological Department, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Mohali, Nawanshahr, and Fatehgarh Sahib will experience drizzle or light rain.

The weather is expected to remain normal in the remaining districts. The rain may provide some relief to farmers. Regarding temperatures, Ludhiana recorded a maximum of 37.1 degrees Celsius and Mansa 36.6 degrees Celsius, while Bathinda recorded a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures will drop, and humidity will provide relief
The Meteorological Department stated that the rain will bring a slight drop in temperatures and provide relief from the humid heat. However, no warning has been issued for heavy rain or storms during this period.

The department has advised farmers to take care of their crops in anticipation of the rains and make necessary arrangements in the fields in advance to prevent any damage.

Water levels of all rivers are decreasing.
The rains will bring a cool atmosphere, and pleasant weather is expected. People will also experience some relief in commuting, as they have been suffering from the increased heat and humidity of the past few days.

Meanwhile, due to reduced rainfall in the mountains, the water levels of rivers in Punjab are continuously decreasing, and the situation is gradually returning to normal. The cleanliness drive launched by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is continuing in every village.
