Gwalior: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday that under the BJP’s double-engine government, Madhya Pradesh is rapidly becoming the “growth engine of developed India”. He was addressing the inaugural event of the Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit 2025 held in Gwalior on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
5.5 lakh jobs with investment of over 2 lakh crore rupees
Before the event, Home Minister Shah, along with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, inspected models of new industrial units worth over ₹2 lakh crore to be set up in various parts of the state.
Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister and Head of DIPIP, Raghavendra Singh, stated that 1,118 new industrial units are being established, which will create over 5 lakh employment opportunities.
During the meeting, Shah also inaugurated completed projects worth over ₹5,000 crore.
Tribute to Atal Ji, event begins with lighting of lamps
On the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Home Minister paid floral tribute to his portrait. Shah and Chief Minister Yadav then formally inaugurated the program by lighting the traditional lamp.
E-Zero FIR facility hits cybercrime
On this occasion, the Home Minister also launched the E-Zero FIR facility in Madhya Pradesh.
After Delhi, Madhya Pradesh has become the second state to implement this facility, making filing cybercrime complaints more quick and easy.
Will attend farmers’ conference in Rewa
Shah and Chief Minister Yadav will travel to Rewa on Thursday to attend a farmers’ conference.
They will also launch the “Natural Farming Initiative” and inspect the “Basman Mama Cow Sanctuary,” where approximately 7,000 stray cattle are cared for.
Shah arrived in Gwalior on Wednesday night and held a meeting with senior BJP leaders, including the Chief Minister.
