Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has released a revised timetable for the 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 Board examinations, making key changes to subject dates while keeping the overall exam period intact. Issued on January 9, 2026, and available on the official website mpbse.nic.in, the update mainly affects language subjects. For Class 10, the Hindi exam has been shifted from February 11 to March 6, 2026. In Class 12, the Urdu and Marathi papers move from February 9 to March 6, while the Hindi paper has been rescheduled from February 7 to March 7, allowing students additional preparation time.
Exam Schedule, Entry Rules and Practical Dates
Class 12 theory examinations will now begin on February 10, 2026, while Class 10 exams start on February 13, 2026. All theory papers will continue in a single morning shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Students have been instructed to reach exam centres by 8:00 AM, with seating by 8:30 AM; entry will close at 8:45 AM, followed by OMR sheet distribution at 8:50 AM and question papers at 8:55 AM. Practical exams for regular students will be conducted at their respective schools from February 10 to March 10, 2026, while private candidates will appear at designated centres during the same period.
Over 16.6 Lakh Students Affected, Schools Asked to Inform Candidates
The revised schedule will impact more than 16.60 lakh students expected to appear for the 2026 Board exams. MPBSE has directed all affiliated schools to promptly share the updated timetable with students and parents through notice boards, assemblies, and digital platforms such as WhatsApp groups. Students are advised to download the complete date sheet from the official website for accuracy. While the Board has termed the current timetable as final, it has stated that further changes, if required, will be communicated only through official channels.
