MP CM Mohan Yadav transfers Rs 20.6 crore relief fund

Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday interacted virtually with farmers impacted by excessive rainfall, floods, and other natural disasters. During the event, he transferred ₹20.6 crore in relief funds to 17,500 farmers across 11 districts.

Commitment to Farmers’ Welfare

CM Yadav reiterated that the welfare of farmers remains a top priority for the state government, stressing the need for sensitive governance and prompt relief measures.

“…Whenever a crisis strikes, it’s our duty to reach out to the farmers. That’s why I came among you even during the heavy rains and floods. We all know the role money plays in such a crisis. It’s true that some relief comes with money, not completely. But this is our way of sharing your pain. It’s our commitment to you, and we have a bond of trust that unites us,” CM Yadav said.

Previous Relief Measures and Total Aid Distributed

The Chief Minister recalled that on August 8, he had transferred ₹30 crore to affected farmers. So far, in the 2025–26 financial year, the government has disbursed ₹188.52 crore in assistance to those hit by various natural calamities across Madhya Pradesh.

Encouragement for Recovery and Future Crops

Yadav assured farmers that the government will continue to stand by them in challenging times.

“The happiness of farmers is the strength of the state and trust of the government. The farmers should get back to the field with full strength and I hope that the loss of the farmers due to excessive rain will be covered in the next crop,” he said.
