MP CM Mohan Yadav Slams Rahul Gandhi for ‘Misleading’ Bihar Voters Over Haryana Polls Claim

Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of misleading voters in Bihar with his “baseless” claims of vote theft in the Haryana Assembly elections.

Speaking to the media in Bihar, Yadav said, “Earlier, Gandhi had tried to spread misinformation regarding EVMs, which the Supreme Court had rejected. He should behave with dignity.”

The BJP leader, who took office as Chief Minister after the party’s victory in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls, alleged that Gandhi has a history of blaming Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for his electoral defeats.

‘Nobody Is Buying His Claims’: Yadav

Sharpening his attack, Yadav said, “It is unfortunate that Gandhi is trying to mislead the people by bringing up Haryana elections during the Bihar elections. Nobody is buying his claims.”

The Chief Minister was in Bihar on Thursday to campaign for NDA candidates, addressing election rallies in Madhubani and Gayaji districts. He urged voters to turn out in large numbers to strengthen democracy.

“I request the people of Bihar to participate in this festival of democracy. Surely, the NDA will form the government, and Nitish Kumar will be the Chief Minister of Bihar. The people want development,” he added.

Rahul Gandhi’s ‘H-Files’ Allegation

At a press conference in Delhi on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi released what he called “The H-files,” alleging that the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections were stolen.

He claimed that 25 lakh entries in the electoral rolls were fake and accused the Election Commission of India of colluding with the BJP. However, the poll panel promptly denied all allegations.

Gandhi also warned that similar tactics might be used to manipulate the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections, repeating earlier claims that the 2023 Madhya Pradesh polls were also “manipulated.”
