MP Road Accident: 3 Dead, 7 Injured in Narsinghpur

New Delhi: A tragic road accident in Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh claimed three lives and left seven others seriously injured on Monday.

The incident occurred around 11 am in the Barman police station area along the National Highway when a pick-up truck carrying labourers overturned.

Labourers Were Heading to Work

According to police officials, all the victims were daily wage labourers from Surla Khapa village in neighbouring Chhindwara district. They were travelling to Narsinghpur for road construction work when the accident took place.

Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Bhuria confirmed that two people died on the spot due to the impact, while the third succumbed to injuries during treatment.

Injured Under Medical Supervision

The seven injured persons were rushed to nearby hospitals and are currently under close medical supervision. Doctors are monitoring their condition carefully.

Probe Underway, FIR Registered

Police have registered an FIR at Barman police station and launched a detailed investigation. Authorities are examining possible causes such as over-speeding, overloading or loss of control, though no official conclusion has been reached yet.

Statements of survivors and eyewitnesses are being recorded, and the vehicle’s mechanical condition is also being checked. Officials say such accidents highlight ongoing safety concerns related to labourers travelling in overcrowded vehicles on busy highways.
