Chandigarh: Punjab Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney has announced a contribution of ₹1 crore towards Mission Chardikla, the flood relief and rehabilitation initiative launched by the Punjab Chief Minister under the Rangla Punjab Fund.
In addition to the monetary support, Dr. Sahney is providing 50 tractors and 10 JCB machines for desilting operations over the next three months. To help control the outbreak of diseases in flood-affected regions, he has also distributed 200 fogging machines to various panchayats.
Dr. Sahney has further set up a dedicated mega warehouse in Ajnala, from where thousands of relief kits are being delivered to families in need. These kits include essentials such as bedding, mattresses, kitchen sets, blankets, furniture, and other household necessities.
Officials said his efforts mark a significant contribution to Punjab’s ongoing relief and rehabilitation drive.
