Amritsar: Last night, bullets were fired in Basarke Bhaini, a rural area of Amritsar, over a fight between children. In this incident a woman died and a 9-year-old girl injured. Apart from this, another person was also shot. The main accused has been arrested by the police, while raids are being conducted to arrest the other accused. In this case, the villagers said that the accused works as a drug dealer.
According to the information, the victim Dilpreet Singh, a resident of Basarke Bhaini village, said that this fight took place due to a fight between small children. After which, at around 8 pm, he was standing outside the house with his father Lakhwinder Singh. Soon Arjun Singh, Sajjan Singh, Manna Singh, Sheru, Sunny, Jajbir Singh, Sonu, Love and Dilbag Singh of the same locality came to his house. The accused had pistols, axes and other weapons.
The attackers attacked him and started fired bullet. He tried to stop them, Arjun Singh and Sajjan Singh took out their pistols and started firing in the air. He tried to grab the pistol from Arjun Singh, Manna Singh attacked him with a chisel. When he raised an alarm, the accused fled.
After the accused left, he was going to inform the police, when he got a call on the way that the accused have come again and are firing. In which his uncle Balwinder Singh, aunt Amarjit Kaur and little girl Kalo got injured. All the three injured were taken to the hospital, where Amarjit Kaur died.
In this case, the police station Gharinda has registered a case against 10 accused, while the main accused Shera has been arrested. Other accused are being searched.
