Ludhiana: Punjab Police Counter Intelligence and Commissionerate Police Ludhiana have jointly solved the Hindu leader Vikas Bagga murder case and arrested its main accused. Counter Intelligence, Ludhiana & Ludhiana Commissionerate Police jointly arrest Mukul Mishra, a wanted fugitive in the murder of Vikas Bagga being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
DGP Punjab Police Gaurav yadav share the information about the rest of main accused on his social media accountX. Vikas Prabhakar was the president of the Nangal unit of VHP, who was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-borne men at his shop in Nangal city of Rupnagar district of Punjab on 13 April 2024. Both the attackers entered Bagga’s confectionery shop located near Rupnagar railway station and fired bullets at him and then fled from the spot.
He said on X that, major breakthrough in Vikas Bagga Murder Case! Counter Intelligence, Ludhiana & Ludhiana Commissionerate Police jointly arrest Mukul Mishra, a wanted fugitive in the murder of Vikas Bagga being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (#NIA). Excellent teamwork & scientific investigation, including financial trail & intelligence inputs led to the arrest. 2 suspects from Gonda, #UP were wanted in the case being investigated by NIA. Joint raids in #Punjab & #JammuKashmir resulted in the arrest. And last he write Punjab police remains committed to maintaining peace & harmony in Punjab, as per CM Bhagwant Mann’s ‘s directions.
