New Delhi: The National Film Awards ceremony began on Tuesday at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. President Draupadi Murmu presented the awards to all the winners.
Renowned actor, Director Mohanlal receives Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Mohanlal receives a standing ovation upon receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. A short film on his life was shown during the ceremony, followed by a standing ovation.

Vaibhavi Merchant was honoured with the Best Choreography award for the song “Dhindora Baaje” from the film “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.” Sanya Malhotra-starrer “Kathal” was named Best Hindi Film, for which director Yashovardhan Mishra received the award.
Rani Mukerji also won the National Award for Best Actress. The 2023 National Film Awards were announced in August.

♦Karan Johar to receive award for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani
♦Shahrukh Khan and Vikrant Massey receive their first National Award of Best Actor.


♦Ekta Kapoor’s production, “Kathal,” won the National Award for Best Hindi Film.

♦Vaibhavi Merchant has received the Silver Lotus Award for Best Choreography for the song Dhindora Baje Re from the film Rocky and Rani.

♦Rani Mukerji was awarded the Best Actress award for her role in Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway.

♦Shilpa Rao won the Best Female Playback Singer award.
