17 MPs, 2 Parliamentary Committees to receive Sansad Ratna Awards 2025

New Delhi, May 18: A total of 17 members of Parliament and 2 Parliamentary Standing Committees have been selected for the prestigious Sansad Ratna Awards 2025, which recognise outstanding performance in Parliament. The awards will be presented during the 15th edition of the Sansad Ratna Awards ceremony scheduled for the last week of July 2025 in New Delhi.

The announcement was made by Prime Point Srinivasan, Founder of the Sanasad Ratna Awards, and Priyadarshini Rahul, Chairman of the Awards Committee. The selection was carried out by a jury chaired by Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Chairman of the National Commission for Backwards Classes and a former recipient of the award.

♦Special Awards for outstanding contribution:

Four senior MPs will be honoured with Special Jury Awards for their consistent and exceptional contributions to Parliamentary democracy.

1. Bhartryhari Mahtab (BJP, Odisha)
2. N.K. Premachandran (RSP, Kerala)
3. Supriya Sule (NCP-SP, Maharashtra)
4. Shrirang Appa Barne (Shiv Sena, Maharashtra)

These  MPs have consistently performed well across multiple Lok Sabha terms.

Maharashtra leads with 7 awardees

• Smita Uday Wagh (BJP)
• Arvind Ganpat Sawant (Shiv Sena UBT)
• Naresh Ganpat Mhaske (Shiv Sena)
• Prof. Gaikwad Varsha Eknath (Indian National Congress)
•  Dr. Medha Vishram Kulkarni (BJP)
• Along with Supriya Sule and Shrirang Barne (Special Awardees)

Uttar Pradesh: Parveen Patel and Ravi Kishan (BJP)

Rajasthan: PP Chaudhary and Madan Rathore (BJP)

Tamil Nadu: CN Annadurai (DMK)

Assam: Dilip Saikia (BJP)

Odisha and Kerala also have one awrdee each thorugh the special awards.

Standing Committe on Finance: Chaired by Bahrtruhari Mahtab (BJP, Odisha)

Standing Committee on Agriculture: Chaired by Dr. Charanjit Singh Channi (INC, Punjab)
