Dehradun, April 27: In Uttarakhand, a campaign is going on against illegal mausoleums as well as illegal madrasas. On the instructions of CM Dhami, more than 600 illegal mausoleums built on government land have been demolished.
At the same time, 180 madrasas running without permission have also been sealed. This campaign is continuing throughout the state. Most action has been taken against it in the border districts of the state, Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar.
On Saturday, three madrasas were sealed in Bhagwanpur, Haridwar. The administrative team led by SDM Bhagwanpur Jitendra Kumar took action against illegal madrasas in Hallu Majra, Makkhanpur and Mohitpur villages and sealed them.
Investigation revealed that these madrasas were neither meeting the standards nor were they registered. During this action, police force was also present on the spot.
As per the instructions of the state government, an intensive campaign is being run across the state against illegal madrasas. Many illegal madrasas have already been sealed in Bhagwanpur area. With today’s action, a total of 180 illegal madrasas have been sealed in the state so far.
Chief Minister Dhami has given a clear message that no institution will be allowed to operate outside the ambit of the law and such action will continue in the future as well.
