217 Pakistanis living in Dehradun; Centre orders to leave the state, authorities begin search

Dehradun: After the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir, the Dehradun district administration and police have started looking for Pakistanis who had come on short-term visas. In which the police got information that a Pakistani couple has been living in Vikas Nagar of Dehradun district for some time.

The police have issued instructions to the Pakistani couple to leave Dehradun soon. After the order of the district administration, the Pakistani couple has left for Saharanpur from Dehradun. From there they will go to Pakistan via Delhi via train.

Actually, after the Pahalgam attack, the central government has ordered the return of Pakistanis who had come to India. After which, the process of return of Pakistanis who had come on short term visas from all over the country has started. In this connection, the Dehradun district administration and police started investigating such people.

When the search for Pakistanis began in Dehradun district, it was found that a total of 217 Pakistanis are living here. Out of which 210 people are Hindu refugees from Pakistan. While five people are Pakistani Muslims. Out of these, three women have got married in Dehradun. Apart from this, there are two children. They have been given permission to live in Dehradun.

SSP Ajay Singh said that Pakistani origin couple Asif Mohammad and his wife Dua Bin Tariq have been sent to Saharanpur under police protection. Apart from this, people of Pakistani origin are being searched in different parts of Dehradun district.
