Barabanki: A tragic accident on the Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left several others injured when a bus and a tempo collided. Police reports indicate that a bus traveling from Chhattisgarh to Ayodhya had broken down and was being repaired when a tempo, also en route to Ayodhya, crashed into it. Three people died at the scene, while one more succumbed to injuries while being transported to the hospital.
Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh stated that passengers are being relocated to other vehicles, and those in critical condition are being taken to the Trauma Centre. He explained, “A bus broke down on its way to Ayodhya from Chhattisgarh and was being repaired when a traveller, also headed to Ayodhya, collided with it… Three people died on the spot, and one passed away on the way to the hospital.” Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and more information is expected to emerge soon.
